Accra Metro wins Greater Accra Regional Sports Festival

Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) collected six gold medals to win this year's Greater Accra Regional Sports Festival which ended at the University of Ghana Sports Grounds, Legon, Accra on Saturday. Ga East District took the second position with two gold medals and a silver, Dangme West placed third with three silver and one bronze with the fourth position going to Dangme East who had one silver and one bronze while Ga West came fifth with only a bronze medal. Mr Kofi Allotey, Ga East Municipal Chief Executive praised the Regional Sports Council for successful organizing the event that has proved to be a success. He urged the participants to refrain from cheating in sports which would tend to mar their God-given talents. The Municipal Chief Executive also asked them to be disciplined and to take their training seriously so that they win laurels for themselves and the nation as a whole. The next competition would be hosted by the Ga West District
