He is commonly known as Sagaribiweh on TV, but in real life he is known as Fredrick Eghan. He is one of the few actors who have enormous talents to make you laugh even when you do not want to.Unlike most of his colleague comic actors whose physical appearances are even enough to make one laugh, Sagaribiweh appears a shy-looking man in real life. While acting, however, he is a different person all together. In most of the roles he played in GTV’s Cantata he was undoubtedly outstanding.
Cantata in recent times, arguably can not do without him. His habit of speaking what most Ghanaians termed Ewe-Twi in a feminine-like voice while acting is just one unique aspect of him. With his superb acting, he has managed to win the hearts of most viewers. Currently, at the mention of the most talked-about comic characters across Ghana, the 30-year-old would not go unnoticed. Over the years most Cantata viewers have perceived him as a fully nurtured Voltarian, but those close to him have different opinions. The actor, in an interview, said he was aware the issue of his identity had created heated debates among most Cantata viewers. Most fans who are intrigued by his Ewe-Twi accent always wanted to if know if he was an Ewe.
Sagaribiweh, who has been featuring in Cantata for the past three years, is half Fante, half Ewe. His father hails from Mankessim in the Central Region and his mother is from Togbalime in the Volta Region. He however considers himself a Ghanaian, since giving much emphasis to where he hails from only makes him somewhat tribalistic. His comic style of acting has endeared him to many, but the star said there is the need to go to higher heights.
He mentioned that his plans of bringing some versatility into his acts led him to establish Sagacious Film Productions. Sagaribiweh told Beatwaves that he started acting at a tender age in church and school. Upon the advice of family friends to join concert party after school due to his high sense of humor, he approached popular comedian and actor Agya Koo, who later introduced him to the Asempa concert party. After a few productions, he met Abrobe of Cantata fame, who later introduced him to the producer of Cantata, and that was how his acting with the group began. It did not end there, as he had the opportunity to star in some Ghanaian movies as well. Among them are ‘Nyame fre wo’, ‘Enye Easy’, ‘Eye Musuo’, ‘Only one child’, and others.
