Ishmael Addo, former three-time goal-king of the Onetouch Premier League may be heading for Europe in June. Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE SPORTS indicate that the player, who re-launched his ailing career with Hearts after signing for the club last Friday, will leave the Phobians for Israel or France in the course of the season because some teams including his former club Macabi Netanya, have expressed interest in him. There is a clause in his contract with Hearts that allows him to join a foreign club. The dare-devil striker is also keen on making amends in Europe, as he failed to hit the limelight when he first joined the exodus bandwagon in 2003, despite his immense goal scoring prowess. Ishmael’s first sojourn saw him land in France when he joined SC Bastia alongside Michael Essien before heading for Maccabi Netanya in Israel. He left for the lower Cyprus league which is not regarded among the top 20 leagues in Europe. The marksman then made a swift return to Ghana where he was the subject of a tussle between Asante Kotoko and Hearts, but disagreements over a contract with the Phobians prevented him from playing when the season began. However, the return of Harry Zakkour as head of Hearts’ management somehow convinced him to return to the club. The player is confident he would be banging in a lot of goals as he told Nana Agyemang, ace football analyst and coach on review of the Onetouch Premier League on Metro TV that he will score against Asante Kotoko when the Phobians clash with them in the return leg. Ever since Ishmael Addo started playing for Hearts, he had scored against Kotoko in almost all matches.
