A new gospel duo, Martyrs of Christ, based in Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo region, has announced its presence on the gospel music scene with an album titled “Wobofo”. The duo, made up of Evangelist Robert Bazie and Ackah Bazie has promised to run things in a different dimension with the help of its production and management team. They are the kind of gospel musicians who can thrill fans with spectacular performances at all times. Indeed, they have been groomed to become complete entertainers who do not only possess silky voices, but also know how and when to make gospel music fans happy and draw them close to God. The album has been packaged not only for the Ghanaian market but the entire African continent especially the English speaking countries and the world at large. Their title song, “Wobofo”, a mid-tempo gospel song often referred to as music for the masses, enjoys considerable airplay. The good drumbeats, bass and lead guitars which are felt in the background make the song irresistibly danceable. As to why they waited for such a long time before releasing this bouncing album, the two responded that they were waiting for the right time to get global and “we believe the time is now”. The group recently put up a splendid performance that marked the official outdooring of the album, surprising everybody with their stagecraft and dancing skills.
