Roof Top MCs, Nigeria’s hottest gospel rap duo, will be the star guests in this week’s edition of Glo Show, the popular entertainment television programme packaged by Nigeria’s national carrier, Globacom.
The show which has now become a veritable medium for exposing Nigeria’s up and coming artistes comes live at 8.30 p.m. on Saturday on the network service of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
A statement by the communications Department of Globacom said this Saturday edition will feature an exclusive interview with Roof top MCs. The fast rising duo will talk on their runaway hit single "Lagi mo" and so many other controversies that have trailed them since they hit the limelight including the reaction of the church to their radical approach to preaching, international acclaim, female admiration and general misconceptions.
The week’s edition also showcases a video from wave-making Yahoozee master, Mr. Olu Maintain Reloaded. Globacom said that on the “Celebrity Gist” segment, viewers will get to find out what’s been happening to the Big Brother Nigeria (BBN) housemates since they left the house. There will also be details on the return of the Glo Campus Storm as rap sensation Mode 9 joins the train.
Last week, Glo Show had an interesting interview with star actress Stephanie Okereke, the first interview she had granted since she left for America after her accident.
She spoke about her sojourn to Hollywood, her quest for more knowledge about film via formal schooling while overseas and plans to be a movie director. Stephanie dispelled rumours about any rivalry with Genevieve Nnaji, describing them as unfounded.
“We are cool both as colleague and pals,” she said. The show also featured snippets from the last Glo /Caf awards. Many in Nigeria saw for the first time who and who had been chosen as Africa’s top 10 footballers in the last 50yrs.
10 Celebrities on the Celebrity Gist segment bore their minds on what Valentine meant to them and who they spent it with. They included Obiwon, Paul play, Omotola Jalade, Olu Maintain, Don Jazzy, D’banj, Mode 9, Sound Sultan and Ruggedman. While Paul Play seized the opportunity to apologise to his wife for not being around, Sound sultan said that as an orphan, he couldn’t resist going to the orphanage.
