The Medical Director of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Dr Paul Ntodi, on Thursday said the hospital has carried out some major renovation works on facilities through its Internally Generated Funds.
He said since 1948 when the building was initially constructed to screen military personnel, it had had no major renovation, and that cracks and leakages had taken a toll on its buildings.
Speaking in an interview with the GNA at Sekondi, Dr Ntodi said, “We have been able to recast the roofing of most of the buildings and are yet to deal with the cracks”.
Dr Ntodi said the hospital had also renovated the Out Patients Department to ease congestion and for prompt response to the need of patients.
He noted that the hospital’s financial resources at the moment were at an all time low.
