Togbega Gabusu VI, Paramount Chief of the Gbi Traditional Area, on Friday, donated assorted medical items worth GHC3,000 to the Hohoe Municipal Hospital. They include theatre coats, gloves and drugs, as well as bedsheets, pillow cases, towels, and other medical equipment. Togbega Gabusu said the assorted medical items were procured from friends in the United States of America, who worked in health facilities, during his visit to that country for medical review. He said being the first child to be delivered at the hospital back in 1952, the facility was dear to him and pledged to get support from public and private organisations towards making it a one-stop facility, in the Volta region. Togbega said his outfit was expecting other medical consignments from America for distribution to other facilities and called on the management of the hospital to make judicious use of the items to benefit the sick. He appealed to people from the region to assist the hospital and also harness support for the rapid development of the region. Togbega commended management and staff of the hospital for their tireless efforts in ensuring healthcare delivery in the area. Mrs Patience Azumatse, Matron of the Hospital thanked Togbega Gabusu for his benevolence and continuous concern and support for the hospital. She pledged that the items would be used judiciously and appealed to all to emulate the kind gesture of Togbega.
