Professor John Evans Atta-Mills, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer for the 2008 General Elections, has reiterated that the party would not accept results from abroad in the 2008 polls. "The NPP know for sure that they would not win the 2008 General Elections hence their efforts to ensure that Ghanaians outside the country participate in the elections." Prof. Atta Mills said this on Friday when inaugurating the rehabilitated Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa constituency office of the NDC at Breman Asikuma. The rehabilitation cost the party ¢28.7 million. He called on Ghanaians to vote for him because he is the "Saviour who would bring them out of the numerous hardships." Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the General Secretary of the party, advised supporters to avoid using provocative and abusive language during their campaigning. He urged the supporters to work harder to win more votes for the party during the 2008 Elections. Mr. Asiedu Nketiah said the New Patriotic Party has disappointed Ghanaians especially people in the Central Region, which is one of the four deprived regions in the country. He appealed to the people to vote for Prof. Atta-Mills as President and the NDC to change the socio-economic development of the country. Prof. Atta-Mills assisted by the constituency women organizer, Mrs. Georgina Nkrumah Boah, Mr. Anthony Robert Frimpong, both aspiring parliamentarians of the constituency, and Mr. Samuel Aidoo, constituency chairman, cut the tape to inaugurate the office. Among those at the function were Mr. Antwi Boasiako, campaign manager to Atta Mills, Samuel Valis Achianu, Central Regional Chairman of the Party and other NDC activists.
