The Editor of the Bilingual Free Press and an activist of the ruling NDC, Alhaji Bature has issued a stern warning to the NPP Member of Parliament for Assin North, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, to be measured in his utterances when discussing issues relating to him (Bature).
According to him, the CEO of Kencity Media cannot for a second stand toe-to-toe with in a tongue lashing contest.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’ show, Alhaji Bature was emphatic that the NPP firebrand, despite all his wealth, cannot measure up to him when it comes to uprightness.
“I am not a rich man but I’m not poor either…everybody in Ghana knows me and the kind of work I do right from Bolgatanga through Tamale, Kumasi to Accra. Comparatively, between Kennedy Agyapong and I, when it comes to the issue of integrity, there’s no need to match us up. I do not doubt him, but I don’t need his kind of money,” he stressed.
The Assin North MP is reported to have censured Alhaji Bature on Oman FM, for a publication in his tabloid The Bilingual Free Press in which he (Ken) took a swipe at "fake pastors" accusing them of manipulating the mindset of Ghanaians.
He impliedly described Alhaji Bature as “foolish and stupid” in an interview on the Accra-based radio station he owns.
But in a quick rebuttal, the former host of Alhaji and Alhaji on Radio Gold warned the NPP MP not to ‘bring it on’ since if it comes to lambasting a person, since he (Bature) can better him (Ken).
