Chelsea star Michael Essien has laughed off the prospect of entering politics. Such is Essien’s popularity in Ghana that he would probably win any election in a landslide.
“No, no, the last thing I would do is politics. I hate politics. I know some big men who are in politics but I would never get involved in politics myself,” Essien told chelseafc.com.
“But that is something I have been thinking about, what I will do once I hang up my boots. “At the moment I feel I will go back to the Michael Essien foundation and have a full time job with that. I want to help the kids become somebody in the future. “It would all be for the foundation. I only want to focus on helping others when I hang up my boots. That’s what I want to do.”
