A question must be answered and soon, where is the General consulate of Morocco in the US? Is it in Washington or in New York? And who is the Consul? Many claim to be The Consul General,The daily activities are conducted by one person and the title is given to another person?? And if Washington is where the General consulate is located then such information should be conveyed to the Moroccan person MarocPost received many messages about this subject but we had no one to ask so we decided to leave it to all of us to contemplate and find a solution to this problem "together".
The Washington area is well represented in terms of the number of immigrants and the presence of the Moroccan embassy there but New York is twice as Important and it has a large number of Moroccans to be ignored by Mr. Ambassador who is supped to be the ambassador for all Moroccans and not only the few privileged Friends and well to do Washingtonians, New Yorkers should have access to Mr. Ambassador and the average immigrant should also have access to him too. The politics of selective guidance is over; all Moroccans are equal and deserve the attention of Mr. Ambassador.
it is time to show the best of our democracy in this country, let' not long to old habits, an ambassador is no more or less than a civil servant who must answer to the public he serves and a visit to NYC once a while would not hurt, not to his friends, I mean to the Diaspora.
I guess there are more questions than answers in this article, we are hoping that the Moroccan embassy will find a way to tackle these problems and answer these questions to work again in the light rather than this mercy business of no one knowing what position he plays and who is responsible on what.
