The Most Rev Gabriel Mantey, Bishop of the Jasikan Diocese of the Catholic Church, has appealed to Ghanaians to be candid and honest in their dealings with each other.
He said the fact that people would be unhappy with being told the truth did not justify withholding from them telling the truth.
Most Rev Mantey said this during the inauguration of the Kpassa Parish in the Nkwanta-North District.
He said sycophancy that seemed to have taken hold of the Ghanaian society had the potential to destroy both the individual and the society in general.
The Regent of Kpassa, Ubor Konja, appealed to the people of Kpassa to work for peace at all times because peace is a valuable asset which every society must strive to have and protect.
The new Kpassa Parish comprises of Kpassa, Bonakye, Nyakuma, Damanko, Abunyanya, Kabonwule, Tinjase and Chajina.
