Women's world No. 1 Justine Henin and Italy's Karin Knapp will play for the title of the Antwerp Diamond Games on Sunday, after hard-fought semifinals victories on Saturday. Henin, playing on home soil for the first time over the last five years, lost the first set 3-6 to Swiss qualifier Timea Bacsinszky, ranked 94th, but won the last two sets 6-3, 6-3. This was the second consecutive three-set win for the world's top player. In another semifinal, 47th-ranked Knapp beat China's No. 1 Li Na in straight sets. She won the first set 6-4, breaking 33rd-ranked Li in the final game of the set. In the second set, Li broke Knapp in the first game and build a 2-0 advantage. Li broke again to go 5-2 up, but could not serve out the set and instead was broken twice by Knapp, who went on to win the tiebreaker 7-5 and the set 7-6. The final will take place on Sunday. This will be the final year of the 600,000-U.S.-dollar Antwerp tournament after a WTA calender revision which will take effect in 2009.
