A fresh new face for talk TV! That's what will happen on Wednesday November 7, when Nigeria's own Mo Abudu launches her engaging new talk-show on M-Net. The elegantly titled Moments with Mo and its glamourous host will turn their attention to issues affecting Africa and Africans today, providing light-hearted entertainment alongside serious issue-driven discussions. The topics on the 64-part talk-show are set to cover a range of subjects from celebrity lifestyle to family and marriage, from parenthood and romance to fashion, beauty and fitness. DStv audiences will be able to see the show at 19:00 CAT every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on M-Net. In addition to providing entertainment, MOMENTS WITH MO is also designed to offer audiences additional insight and knowledge to help viewers take on life's challenges. From dealing with the death of a spouse, learning self defense and managing children with special needs to creating a fairytale wedding, discovering the secrets of beauty queens and meeting Mr. Right, Mo's got something for everyone! Herself a mother of two, the 43-year-old Mo is a charismatic personality whose warmth and understanding of people and their lives makes her the perfect host for the show. With a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Westminster in London, Mo brings her considerable training and education into play in her new talk-show role. And it's no surprise that the go-getting business-woman and hotelier, whose creativity and imagination are infectious, believes that "Inspiration propels vision and great vision propels action." And action is what the British-born, Nigerian-bred Mo is going to be providing. Lights, cameras and action! With her talk-show licensed to M-Net and set to screen on the channel for 21 consecutive weeks, in a talk-show timeslot she shares with the legendary Oprah Winfrey Show, Mo is ready to hit screens continent-wide. Her drive and determination to see the show into life is what first attracted M-Net to her proposal. So says Joseph Hundah, M-Net Director of Operations for Sub-Saharan Africa. "When Mo approached M-Net several months ago with the plans for her talk-show, we were impressed with her enthusiasm and energy. Her proposal was strong, her motivations were clear and she was driven to provide a compelling talk-show with topics relevant to our market. We were happy to license her new show for screening on M-Net. Now, as it launches, we wish her well and hope it brings her success, knowing how involved she is in its creation, as host and producer." Meanwhile audiences can watch out for a host of celebrity guests as they chat to Mo including football ambassador John Fashanu, musician Dare Art Alade, former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Nike Oshinowo, Nollywood actresses Shan George and Rita Dominic, author Yewande Zaccheus, fashion designer Nikky Khiran and the runner up of Idols West Africa Omawunmi. So tune in for MOMENTS WITH MO and be inspired!
