PRESS STATEMENT TO REFUTE AN ARTICLE POSTED ON THE GHANAWEB ALLEDGING THAT HON. FELIX KWASI OWUSU-ADJAPONG IS CAMPAIGNING FOR ANOTHER ASPIRANT Our attention has been drawn to a publication posted to the Ghanaweb claiming that Hon. Felix Kwasi Owusu-Adjapong, MP for Akim Swedru who is vying for the NPP presidential candidature has been campaigning for another aspirant. Interestingly, this article on the Ghanaweb comes few days after Hon. Felix Kwasi Owusu-Adjapong has completed his second round of visits to the Northern and Upper East regions where the party executives pledged their support for him come December 22nd, 2007. Currently Hon. Owusu-Adjapong is in the US on the invitation of the NPP-USA to attend a fundraising function to be organized by the US branch of the party. He had to put on hold his visits to other regions to enable him to embark upon the US. While in the US, he paid a courtesy call on the President of NPP-USA, Mr. Kofi Boateng. The campaign office of Hon. Felix Kwasi Owusu-Adjapong is per this press statement rebuffing the article and is calling on interested parties and persons to treat the Ghanaweb article with the contempt that it deserves. Kenneth Acheampong Special Assistant to Hon. Felix Kwasi Owusu-Adjapong DATED 19TH OCT., 2007
