Harrison Afful is closing in on a CAF Champions League winner's medal after helping Esperance reach the final.
Esperance advanced past Al-Ahly to reach the final with the Ghanaian international playing the full game as they beat Ahly 1-0 in Tunis on Sunday to progress on the away goal rule against the six-time champions.
The aggregate scores were level at 2-2.
Afful now stands the chance of clinching Africa's club football price when they play defending champions TP Mazembe in the two-legged final.
This year's Champions League final will take place on the weekend of 12-14 November.
The winners will pocket prize money of US$1.5m and will also qualify to represent Africa at the 2010 Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in December.
