The national under-17 football team, the Black Starlets will have to win their next match against Colombia on Sunday to qualify for the quarter final stage of the World Under-17 tournament currently underway in Korea.
The Starlets were beaten 3:2 by their German counterparts in a nail-biting match earlier today.
The Starlets had to fight from a daunting three 3:0 deficit at the end of the first half.
The second half saw a rejuvenated Starlets side pull a goal back through striker Ransford Osei in the 57th minute, before defender Sadik Adams added the second goal in the 63rd minute.
The Starlets looked a good side to win in the second half and forced the weary Germans into defence, but what seemed a renaissance ended painfully for the Starlets as they squandered several goal opportunities to at least level up.
The Starlets won their first game 4: 1 against Trinidad and Tobago.
