The President of the Ghana National Supporters Union, Abraham Boakye has threatened to sue the Ghana Football Association (GFA) if the FA fails to pay him10% share of the sponsorship deal between Telecom Giants GLO and the Nation’s football governing body. Abraham Boakye, popularly known as One Man Supporter, alleges that his company, ABN Marketing consulting did the initial background work for the agreement but was kicked out at the last minute by the GFA who claimed that the premier league clubs opted to deal directly with Glo Mobile Ghana. This revelation comes after the Ghana Football Association’s claim that an agent, Afrisat International, acting through Mid Sea Company Limited brokered the $15 million dollar deal and is entitled to 10% of the deal. However, a Director of Mid Sea, Professor Marian Ewurama Addy denied knowledge of the deal between her company and the GFA in an interview with Citi News. The latest to join the mystery behind the deal is Mr. Abraham Boakye, who has also rubbished the GFA’s claim. “I am going to file a suit and claim my share and also I want them to sign that ABN is the main broker so far as this five year deal is concerned, both for the Black Stars and the Premier League and subsequently the Top 4. The FA President is a Corporate Lawyer and those who have become FA Presidents I respect them until just recently that the man lied to me because of money. “I have supported Ghana for over thirty years and he (Kwesi Nyantekyi) just came in. When I was Chairman for a First Club Diamond Stars, he was a Lawyer to a second Division club so I have been in the system for far too long. I respected him as a brother and believed in whatever he said, until just recently that I realized that he lied to me. Mr. Abraham Boakye who said he has documents to prove his claims, challenged key members of the FA, including Mr. Fred Pappoe, Kofi Nsiah, Fred Crentsil and the GFA President, Mr. Kwesi Nyantekyi to come out and deny.
