United Kingdom-based Sports Management firm, NVA Entertainment Group is currently on a tour of Ghana to explore business opportunities in search of partnership opportunities for the development of the industry. NVA Entertainment Group which specialises in the management of football players, musicians, actors and models is hoping to make good use of the business opportunities in the country and also open a ray of hope for Ghanaian businesses. Speaking to GNA Sports in an interview in Accra, Chris Nathaniel, Chief Executive Officer of the company said his team hopes to firm up ties between a Ghanaian football Club with a Major League Soccer outfit, the elite division of American football. He said whilst in the country, they will hold discussions with potential football clubs across the country in search of the target and requirements for the deal. Nathaniel mentioned that another area they are exploring are the building of exchange programmes with local clubs and some of their clients in Europe.
“We are currently in talks with Abedi Pele Ayew and are working out a package out for his Club Nania FC and Liverpool.” The Chief Executive Officer added that they will be exploring opportunities in other sports including boxing in line with their lone-term target of developing sports at all levels in the country. During their stay in the country, they are expected to call on the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ghana Football Association, National Sports Authority and other stakeholders to outline the vision and to rally for support as well in that regard. There are also plans to visit some Premier League Clubs to acquaint themselves with the local industry and their style of operations.
Nathaniel was accompanied by other Executives of NVA Entertainment Group made up of Paul Boadi and Kwesi Amponsah. NVA Entertainment Group’s tall lists of clients include Rio Ferdinand and Antonio Valencia of Manchester United fame, Brazil forward Robinho and Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. They also represent Black Star defender Daniel Opare who plays for Belgian side, Standard Liege.
