Ho, Sept. 21, GNA - The 60th anniversary celebration of Ho Mawuli School is expected to be a great homecoming event for all its past students this November.
The Rev Frank Anku, Board Chairman of the School and Immediate Past Synod Clerk of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, said the re-union would be fun and gratitude to God for keeping many old students alive to witness the anniversary.
"We will recount the past, share experiences with the current generation of Mawulians and reconnect with the past glory of the School," he said.
The week long celebration promises to be a re-awakening of the "Mawuli Tradition" with activities such as torchlight "(Akakatsi) procession, borborbor, borbor and pork shows" as major features.
Other activities include a medical outreach, drama, dinner and choral nights and a grand durbar on November 14.
Ms Bridget Letsa, a student nurse who completed Mawuli School in 2005, said she could not wait to meet people who left the School as far back the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
"It will be a great feeling to interact with my 'great grand fathers and fathers' to know more about their era in Mawuli School," she said.
Preparations are far advanced for the Anniversary with rehabilitation works on some dormitories and work near completion on the new Administration Block.
