MPS is constructing a 550,000 teu capacity state of the art container terminal at the port of Tema, Ghana MPS is expected to commence commercial operations from April 1st 2007 when approximately 60% of the Phase 1 facility construction will be completed. The entire Phase 1 construction will be commissioned November 2007.
At start-up in 2007 MPS will have:
3 STS cranes
4 RTG cranes
12 Reach-Stackers
4 Empty-Handlers
Additional equipment to be commissioned by Jan 2008
1 STS crane
4 RTG cranes
30 Terminal Tractors
35 Terminal Chassis
