President John Evans Atta Mills, returned home on Wednesday evening, after a day's official trip to Abuja-Nigeria. He was accompanied by some government officials.
Mr Koku Anyidoho, Presidential Spokesperson and Press Secretary, who
accompanied the President, told journalists on arrival at the Kotoka
International Airport that President Mills and his Nigerian counterpart
held talks on the need for West Africa to stand out as a shining example of democracy and good governance.
He said Nigeria's success with its pending election is of great
importance not to that country alone but the entire sub-region.Mr Anyidoho said Ghana is most supportive of a peaceful and successful
election in Nigeria.
He said President Mills also congratulated Nigerians for their country's Golden Jubilee celebrations. Mr Anyidoho said President Mills visit to Nigeria followed a mutual agreement between the two leaders.
