An international Classifier, Mr Didier Simons has arrived in the country to embark on classification of the various athletes ahead of the 4th Africa Paracycling Championship to be hosted by Ghana in December this year.
The Belgian, who is a UCI International Classifier is one of the brains behind this event, which according to the Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) has arrived to ensure a successful hosting of the tournament.
The 4th Para-cycling event will commence on Saturday 10th to Sunday, December 11, at the main Kanda Highway, with countries such South Africa, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Benin and Albania and Poland as well as host Ghana expected to participate.
The competition will enable the teams to accumulate more points for next year’s Olympic Games in London.
Didier is scheduled to hold meetings with the Director General of Sports Authority, Mr. Wolanyo Agra and the Minister of Youth & Sports, Mr Clement Kofi Humado.
